About
Who is The Lakeshore Carpenter?
Liam J. Dean
Liam (a.k.a. The Lakeshore Carpenter) is a homegrown NWT Journeyman Carpenter. Having moved to Yellowknife with his parents (Norma and Dale) in 1980 at the age of 2, Liam has spent the majority of his life living, learning and working in the North. After a 5 year hiatus in Stony Plain (Alberta), Liam and his family (Erin, Ila & Jacob) returned North in early 2016 and are currently enjoying life on the beautiful south shore of the Great Slave Lake in Hay River.
"I always try to seek new challenges that will stretch my capabilities. My versatility, my need to constantly improve, and my ability to transfer skills from past projects and experiences have been the key to my success as a construction professional." - Liam
Me and the kids, maybe they'll be my little Lakeshore apprentices someday!
I almost always wear a bandana while I'm working on the tools (but no, I don't have an office bandana). If you wanna hear an essay on why all carpenters should wear one, just ask me (spoiler alert - they're very functional). Also, my wife just "loves" them.... ya right ;^}
Gallery
An assortment of of different project photos, before and after. The gallery is not a comprehensive list of past projects, as I have done too many projects to count and don't have pictures of all of them. But it does show a range of different skills and experiences on small and medium sized projects. I also have leadership and supervisory experience on a number of large scale projects ranging from $10 - 170 million, none of these projects are shown in the gallery as they are too big to be represented by a few photos. For more info regarding large project experience it's best to meet face to face and discuss in person.
